わたしの せいかつ

わたしのかぞくは　おおきいです。そして　うちの　ちかくは　にぎやかです。でも　みんなはしんせつです。こどもが　ごにんいます。　

ブラジルは　とても　きれいです。リオヂィハネイロだいがくで　ポルトガルごを　べんきょうします。　まいにち　日本ごと　えいごと　スペインごと　ポルトガルごを　はなします。がいこくが　すきですから。いつも　おいしいりょうり　たべます。　がいこくのたべものは　アメリカのたべものより　いいです。おっとわ　チェフですから、かぞくは　とても　げんきです。

せいかつは　いそがしいですが、いつも　たのしいですよ。

だいがくの たべもの

こんいちは　みんあさん。

いま　おなかが　いっぱいです。ヒュウィトで　ひるごはんを　たべまみしたから。さかなとやさいとくだものを　たべました。くだものとやさいわ　おいしかったですが、さかなわ　あまりよくなかったです。ははの　りょうりが　ほしいです。ははわ　チェフです。でも、ははわ　フロリダです。そして　わたしは　ニューヨークです。たいへんですよ。:(

きのう　ははから　はこを　もらいました。　はこの　なかに　チョコレート　ここのつと　シャツが　ーまい　あります。ひこうきで　コロンビアまで　いきます。いま　日本ご　をべんきょうします。　そして　チョコレトを　たべます。　ありがとう　ございます　はは！

１。 きょう　もくようびです　そして　こんしゅうの　どようびと　にちようびに　わたしの　ともだちは（アランさん）　ニューヨークまちへ　きます。アランさんは　ウェストポイントから　コロンビアだいがくまで　きます。

２。せんしゅう　ヨグルトランドへ　いきます。ゆうめいと　にぎやかが　きれいです。デズルトが　すきですよ！ヨグルトランドは　おいしいです　でも　ピンクベリと　１６ハンデルスも　とってもおいしいですよ！　こんばん　ピンクベリへ　いきます。べんりな　ところです。たべましょう！

Je'Bon Noodle and Sushi House

As some of you may know, my favorite food of all time is sushi. I wanted to share with you all an amazing and (relatively) inexpensive sushi and noodle house in downtown Manhattan. The first time I went with one of my friends, we bought two rolls and a noodle bowl for $28.00 and had so much food we had to bring some home!

We <3 Hello Kitty!

Hello Kitty is pretty much the best fictional character ever made; not to mention, she was created in 日本！So, for those of you who are not familiar with her, let me introduce her to you. Her name is Hello Kitty ハローキチイand we love her!

Just thought I would post some fun facts about my favorite, the famous (and in some cases infamous) Hello Kitty. 

According to Wiki: 

*In 1974, Sanrio Co. Ltd. of Tokyo introduced Hello Kitty ハローキチイ - full name, キチイホワイト, or Kitty White. 

*The first Hello Kitty item sold was a vinyl coin purse in Tokyo. 

*In 1976, the franchise was introduced into the U.S. 

*Today, The Hello Kitty line grosses over $1 billion dollars a year in sales. 　　

... and that's why she's better than the rest. 

Japanese

I am fascinated by the myriad ways in which humans can communicate and am determined to minimize my ignorance of foreign cultures. Thus, I have decided to learn an asiatic language. I debated between studying Japanese and Mandarin but after much consideration decided that ordering my sushi in its original tongue was too good to pass up. So here I am, with no previous exposure, struggling to put a grammatically correct sentence together in one of the most difficult languages on Earth. I find that when I pass by Japanese restaurants I can pronounce most of the words on the signs (very exciting.) Knowing what they mean - well, that will come later I presume. I have found that pronouncing and drawing is not as challenging as constructing sentences. This is the most challenging course I have ever taken, and I hope it will also be the most rewarding.
